Charlotte Tilbury Eye-shadows
I purchased three of the Charlotte Tilbury eye-shadow quads whilst in London after attending Mario Dedivanovic's Masterclass. These were one of the first products I bought from the brand and have to admit was extremely impressed. For those who have not heard of Charlotte Tilbury, she is a celebrity make-up artist from the UK who has worked with many A-list celebrities for red-carpet events. As well as being a successful make-up artist well known for her signature looks on magazine covers, her make-up products are also currently very hot in the market.
I usually go for soft coloured eye-shadows as I contour and highlight quite heavily so bronze/gold/brown shadows are my favourite to complete the look. One of the quads I bought from this brand is the luxury palette colour-coded eye-shadow in ‘Dolce Vita’. The shadows consist of very light shimmers to a heavy glitter which can be built upon to create a heavy glam look. I found these shadows highly pigmented and rich in colour. There is nothing worse than having eyeshadow that looks like translucent powder sitting on your eyelids! These colours have a cream sheen look and allow a heavy coverage. After finally trying out this palette for Eid and falling in love with all the colours I felt the NEED to write blog post! The eye-shadow stayed on the FULL day without looking washed out.
Each individual colour in the quad and its best fitting purpose.
Prime- Top left- perfect base colour to build upon with the harsher shades. Also can be used for highlighting the inner corner of the eyes as well as under the eyebrow.
Enhance- Top right- flat warm reddish-brown tone which can be used as a main colour to fill the eyelid and make the eyes appear more open. This is where the constant blending needs to take place.
Pop- Bottom left- optional if you are going for a glam red carpet look. Once all the shadows have been applied, use your finger to lightly pat on the gold glitter shadow in the middle of the eyelid.
Smoke- Bottom right- greyish brown tone- If you are wanting to create a dramatic look, apply this colour to outer corner of eyes to create a cut crease and blend in towards the middle of the eye, keeping it heavy and dark in the outer corner.
If it’s your first time buying an eye-shadow quad from Charlotte Tilbury, I would highly recommend
‘Dolce Vita’ as it can create multiple looks all depending on the application. The price is near the high end of the scale for an eye-shadow quad but is definitely worth the investment! The other palettes I also purchased were ‘Golden Goddess’ and ‘Vintage Vamp’ which I will also post about once I have the chance to try them out so stay tuned!
Xx
The packaging really sells itself as packaging/labelling can really become a driving force for sales.
